Athletes hoping for their shot at the 2020 CrossFit Games in Madison, Wiscinson will have three more opportunities to do so. Assuming all sanctioned events for the 2019 Games will exist for the 2020 Games, these newly announced events will allow individual and team athletes 21 chances to qualify.

“As the CrossFit Games season expands internationally, so does the opportunity for CrossFit, Inc. to support our affiliates,” said CrossFit CEO Jeff Cain in a CrossFit press release. “These sanctioned events recognize the histories and individual character of a wide variety of CrossFit communities around the world.”

In chronological order the new events are:
CrossFit Filthy 150 in Dublin, Ireland | November 22-24, 2019
The Irish event will be the sixth Europe sanctional, hosting an anticipated 3,000 competitors and spectators from around the globe. “We can’t wait for everyone to experience the famous Irish welcome and perform in front of the best sports fans on the planet,” said event director Jamie Lawlor.

CrossFit Atlas Games in Quebec, Canada | March 2020
Many Canadians have topped the leaderboard at recent CrossFit Games, including Patrick Vellner, Brent Fikowski and of course Camille LeBlanc-Bazinet. The Atlas Games keeps things in the Canadian CrossFit family, as the event director is none other than Alexis LeBlanc-Bazinet, Camille’s brother, who said, “It is an honour and privilege to now offer that opportunity alongside CrossFit, Inc.”

Canada West CrossFit Championship in Vancouver, Canada | June 2020
The third newly sanctioned event takes athletes to the opposite side of Canada, for what previously existed as the CanWest Games. Event director Morgan Chaulk said, “We are proud to be a part of the CrossFit community and cannot wait to host this event.”
