Sometimes life gets in the way of the ideal 3-days-on, 1-day-off training schedule.

When that’s the case, CrossFit Seminar Staff member Chris McDonald says CrossFit trainers need to help people train smarter.

Going hard for four or five days in a row will not work for most athletes. McDonald recommends incorporating skill work and mobility into the schedule.

“If you have that fourth and fifth day, it’s going to be hard to really bring intensity,” McDonald says.
