The first week of the 2020 CrossFit Open is officially a wrap. At least we got burpees out of the way! A quick glance at the leaderboard and you’ll notice 20.1 was a 15-minute AMRAP for most. However, the top athletes in the sport spent less than 9-minutes to complete 20.1. Burpees and snatches at a moderately light weight; no gymnastics, no heavy weight, just pure grunt engine work. After round 5 or 6, the pain you likely felt was a good reminder that it’s Open season.

On to week 2! This week we’re predicting 20.1 will welcome some gymnastics. However, we probably won’t be seeing high-level gymnastic movements like muscle-ups yet. Toes-to-bar, though, are very likely. As a matter of fact, we’ve seen toes-to-bar show up in one of the first two Open workouts for the last five years. Further, we’re leaning toward a triplet for this workout, somewhere in the 20-minute range.

20.2

20-minute AMRAP
50 Double-unders
35 Wall Balls (20/14)
20 Toes-to-Bar

Enjoy!
