It’s the final week of qualifier workouts for two huge CrossFit-sanctioned events. It was a punishing week for athletes, and the leaderboards look completely different from last week. Take a look at who’s in and who’s out before the final week’s workouts take their toll.
WDZ
Daimino Stewart from CrossFit Fortious in San Diego is your new men’s Elite/Rx division leader followed by Daniel Courtright out of Pennsylvania’s True Glory CrossFit and J.T. Huckabay from North Jax CrossFit in Florida. Stewart is a previous team regional competitor and former professional football player. Josh Gervais is hanging on to a qualifying spot, dropping from 12th to 15th this week, while Paul Castillo is now barely qualifying in the 20th spot, moving up one from last week. Regional athlete Nick Bloch is sitting in 24th place, out of contention right now as well as Games athlete and Streek Parking co-founder Julian Alcaraz at 45th place.

For the ladies, Ilene King out of CrossFit South Central Mass takes the first-place spot after week two, with Dani Speegle out of Orlando in second and California Regionals veteran Hayley Murillo in third. East Regionals athlete Kristine Best sits in fourth place and CrossFit Invictus’s Chantelle Loehner jumped from tenth to fifth place. Games athlete Colleen Fotsch also hopped up on the leaderboard from thirteenth to ninth. Notable names just out of contention are Lindsey Valenzuela in 23rd place and Tori Dyson in 32nd place. Games athlete Kelley Jackson posted on Instagram that she forgot to post her scores for week two.

Dubai CrossFit Championship
Last week’s leader Nate Hoiland dropped to third place as Germany’s Kevin Winkens jumped to first on the leaderboard. Rookie Stephen Bart out of Delaware held on to second place. Yoosik Kim out of South Korea dropped two places, down to fifth this week while Games athlete Streat Hoerner dropped one place, currently in 11th. French Games athlete Willy Georges jumped from 12th to ninth place. The Smith brothers are still qualifying, Ben at 16th place and Alec at 19th place. Iceland’s Frederik Aegidius is in 26th place. Travis Mayer out of CrossFit Passion is now in contention, jumping to 29th place this week. Notable names out of contention are Paul Castillo, and Lukas Hogberg.
More familiar names on the women’s Elite leaderboard as second-fittest woman on earth Laura Horvath holds her third-place spot from last week. New Zealand’s Lucy Bolton is on top of the leaderboard with UAM’s Maryam Zanbagh in second. Games athletes Jamie Greene, Chentelle Loehner and Eik Gylfadottir are in the top ten. And while Kelley Jackson may be out of WZA contention, she is sitting well in ninth place on the DCC leaderboard. Sam Briggs is still in qualification contention at sixteenth place, while 17-year-old Hayley Adams is just hanging on, dropping from 20th place to 34th place this week. Alessandra Pichelli, who was out of qualifying place last week is now in 32nd place. Notable names outside the top 35 are Lindsey Valenzuela at 39th place, Hayley Murillo just below her an Amanda Hardeman in 54th.
